Communion is a celebration of remembrance which is to remind us of Jesus' life and death. We hold it in our fellowships in irregular intervals. By our participation we bear witness to the fact that we have fellowship with Jesus and with one another. Communion is also a meal in which we have the opportunity for self-examination, and at the same time we are reminded of the great work of redemption that Jesus accomplished for us, and of the work of sanctification that he wants to carry out within us.
