Griess and his "Battle" with TV
Numerous documents , such as the Medical Academy's Finding Nr. DK 50/85W undoubtedly prove that Wiltrud Griess, when she made her first acquaintance with the "Norwegian-Movement" was already depressive, and in danger of committing suicide, and was in a great emotional state of crisis. Further, they show that this was shamefully misused by various persons, so that the student has to be classified as being a victim of sexual exploitation and humiliation.

As we have seen , Wiltrud Griess (in the "Vera" TV programme on Oct. 17, 1996, watched by about 900,000 viewers) publically spoke about "incestuous experiences in her own family" as the deep-seated cause for her psychological problems, and the real roots of her disturbed relationship toward sexuality and toward men.

A week earlier , her father, Mr. Griess, had, in the same programme, once again told his horror story about the supposed negative influence of the "Norwegians" upon the psyche of his daughter.

As a result , our fellowship decided to call our lawyer in on the case, and demand an appropriate correction and counter-presentation, on the Vera programme. Otherwise we would take legal action against the Austrian Broadcasting Network, and its responsible editorial staff. After our lawyer intervened with regard to the Vera editorial staff, and the legal department of the ABN, our request was granted, and one week later, both a representative of the "Norwegians", as well as Mr. Griess' daughter, were invited to present the facts from their point of view.

While the speaker for the "Norwegians" was able to correct Mr. Griess' untruthful statements, with regard to the fellowship, Wiltrud Griess wanted finally to bring the true reason for her psychological illness into the light.

Here, it must be mentioned that we "Norwegians", particularly out of consideration for the abused victim, have remained silent for about 12 years, regarding these terrible accusations of Mr. Griess, and we have not reacted in any way to them.

Although our fellowship knew about the true martyrdom of Wiltrud Griess, in all its details, we did not bring our knowledge of it to the public eye, because the student had confided in a few trusted persons, telling of her sufferings right after coming into contact with the "Norwegians". It was only Mr. Griess' impudent and increasingly audacious TV appearances, lectures and inciting letters which have literally forced us to defend the truth, to put Mr. Griess in his place, and to take advantage of legal assistance.

It has always been Mr. Griess, himself, who has first appeared in public with his defamations and accusations against the "Norwegians", and each time he has started a "holy war" against us. In particular on the Internet, Mr. Griess recently began a battle with his impudent lies and accusations, which have long been prohibited by law. We are simply forced to react to all of this, if only for reasons of self respect, and in order to protect thousands of irreproachable families, both at home and abroad.

He reacted even more angrily whenever his accusations did not achieve the desired effect, or when they boomeranged on him. This is how it was in the case of the "Vera programme".
Because Griess' stage-managed and planned campaign against the "Norwegians" in the Vera programme, took a different direction than he had hoped, it was followed by a typical reaction in the form of a new flood of accusing letters to all possible places and persons who, in their fairness and objectivity, were not willing to lend themselves to having anything to do with Mr. Griess' wish - which was to drag our fellowship's name through the mud.
