In a further article that we are in possession of, written to the Complaint-Committee of the Audio-Visual Representatives of the ABN from Oct. 25, 1996, Mr. Griess blames the responsible editor of the "Vera Programme" and he writes verbatim: "As was to be expected, the "Norwegian-Movement" demanded the possibility of a counter-presentation and was granted it one week later." Mr. Griess again complains about the fact that (from the side of the editor) certain conditions were set so that an objective discussion of the theme, involving all of the concerned persons, would be guaranteed.
Once more , he wants to determine the way the case should be handled; now, when the whole truth about the conditons in the Griess house are to be brought to light, he suddenly reacts as one who is insulted, rejects any further comment and closes with the incredible sentence: "I am of the opinion that the ABN (ORF), if it only considers such methods in order to guarantee that the public's perverse tastes are satisfied, then it has actually not fulfilled its task as a public-legal-mission."
But Mr. Griess' impudence knows no bounds! He has been smearing and persecuting the reputation of a serious fellowship for years with vulgarities and criminal accusations. Despite the fact that he knew that his daughter had been rendered psychologically unwell "within his own four walls", he places the guilt upon a group that promotes family unity, that gave his child assistance in every way .... and continues to do so.
In his maliciousness , he goes to the various editors of the ABN (ORF) and tries everywhere to drag the reputation of the "Norwegians" through the mud (as seen in "Vera", "Schijok Daily", "Welcome Austria", and other programmes!!) Because the people who are responsible for the editorial divisions of the ABN are beginning to prick up their ears and want to hear the other side, as well, Mr. Griess is now beginning to complain about the ABN in general, although he at the outset had curried their favour as being a "poor, concerned father," and a "sect-expert".
After Mr. Griess had presumably not achieved his desired intention in his letter of complaint, he composed a further "Lamantation" on November 3, 1996 to the "Audio-Visual-Representatives" of the ABN (ORF). In it, such programmes as "Schijok Daily", and "Vera" are suddenly stamped by Griess as being "pure propaganda programmes for dangerous social tendencies." Mr. Griess complains that he was: "Myself, the sufferer" in the recent 'Vera' Programme, and he was presumptuous enough to end up by making the following comment: "They promised to take me seriously; the result was, however, a counter-presentation by the 'Norwegians' which presented me to the television public - since this is a modern topic - as being an abuser of children. My request to be allowed to reply once more to that yet again was made unacceptable for me because of the conditions they made. In this manner, my family and I fell prey to the public's lust for sensation".
Conclusion: A young girl is abused and maltreated within her own family circle (even beaten, as her own mother admits in an interview) and feels that she is all alone and deserted. Because of the humiliating experiences within her own family she is later, as an adult once again sexually exploited and humiliated by unscrupulous men. Depression, guilt feelings, and desperation are the result. Instead of being ashamed and confessing his own mistakes in child rearing, Mr. Griess now begins to place the blame for his failure as a father (namely, that he could not or would not help his daughter in her inner distress) on the fellowship of the "Norwegians" and spreads the accusation around the world that the "Norwegians" had robbed him of his daughter and rendered her psychologically unwell .
With unbelievable impudence , Mr. Griess is spreading ever new variations of his horror stories that the evil sect had pulled a daughter out of the arms of her poor father, and that the apparently idyllic Catholic family Griess had been destroyed by the "Norwegians".
