Copyright proceedings As this website makes clear, the engineer Mr. Griess had to commit himself to cease and desist from spreading false and offensive accusations about our church in numerous court cases, and has received several fines. (More information about this subject can be found under the summary and the comprehensive brochure.) As he has violated these court orders repeatedly, he is constantly involved in more court cases (cf. the proceedings in the Klosterneuburg District Court in April 2004, where he was served with a fine). Besides the continual defamation and calumniation of our assembly both verbally and in writing, Mr. Griess has translated and published passages of text, quotes and literary works on his website without the express permission of our publishers. These quotes are taken out of context and annotated in a non-objective and defamatory way. Many of these texts are taken from old writings and were quite obviously selected by Mr. Griess to maliciously present our assembly as anti-authoritarian, an enemy of society and sexist (anti women).
It is also remarkable and typical of Mr. Griess that he only selects a few passages or fragments from old publications out of the plethora of documentation available by or about us, even though the teachings and objectives of our movement have been openly published since 1912, in over 1116 monthly editions of our paper Skjulte Skatter (or Hidden Treasures, as the English publication is called). In addition, there are more than 120 books, pamphlets and brochures as well as an abundance of academic religious and popular scientific books by independent authors, theologians and journalists.
For these reasons, we felt compelled to bring a case before the Korneuburg Regional Court for “injunction, removal, publication of ruling and appropriate compensation”.
