The Fellowship
Essentially, three groups represent our fellowship in Austria: The "Styrian Christian Family Fellowship" in Salzkammergut in Steirmark; the fellowship "The Life" in Föderlach in Kärnten and fam9the "Christian Family Fellowship" in Wolfsgraben near Vienna. Apart from that, there are a few families and friends in Graz, in the Lungau and spread out here and there in other areas. In our local meetings, we take plenty of time for games, fun and sports - not least of all for the youngest among us - as well as mutual edification through the Word of God and singing.

One of our typical family days would take place in the following manner: On a Sunday at about noon, the various friends and families come together (especially when the weather is fine) to barbecue. A "children's meeting" is announced from three to four o'clock. A short Bible study (often with flannel-board pictures and drawings), happy Christian children's songs and personal contributions make up the programme, in which everyone - children, youth and adults- is allowed to participate in a free and informal manner. Following that, the smallest children play in the sandbox and on the host family's lawn; the youth take part in soccer and volleyball games to see who will be the winner, while the "older folks" have fellowship while enjoying cake and coffee. In summertime, swimming in our clean mountain lakes is part of our programme, and in wintertime we go skiing or snowboarding.

amseeAside from these Sunday family days, our young girls' and boys' groups are an important aspect of our fellowship: trips abroad, mountain tours, horse-back riding, go- cart racing, mountain-bike tours, making handcrafts for our own Christmas bazaar, cultural activities, video evenings, theatre-and-sketch groups and much more, bind the hearts of the children and youth to one another and strengthen the fellowship.
